Josefina (or any girl) should be fine with socks on under the boots. My Josefina wore them for several months this summer with socks with no problems. IMO, they make the summer riding outfit look gorgeous!

I recently posted about the readiant rhinestones outfit fading badly. But, as another member posted...it seems to have faded somewhat. She was a retired AGT and I didn't want to part with her. I now put a T-Shirt under the dresses and such to keep them from fading. I wonder if we could start a thread so people can be fore-warned about which items fade so precautions can be taken to avoid these kind of stains. What do you think?

I think it would be most helpful to have a "sticky" or something that just has the things listed that people have had problems with fading. Then people could check before they bought something if they didn't want the hassle of worrying about something that would fade, or at least would know to pre-wash that item, if they definately wanted it.

A little history might help, too. The original black suede slip-on shoes that came with the AGTs in 1995 stained the soles of the AGTs' feet. So did the black stretch pants. Pleasant Co. sent a letter to anyone who bought these early dolls offering to replace their legs. Then later, I heard from my rep that Sam's plaid cape stained the doll's arms and the clothes she wore underneath it when the doll went out and played in the snow while wearing it. I think AG may have fixed the cape problem by using a different kind of wool? But it's a good idea not to get it wet. They fixed the shoes by putting a white innersole inside them.

Candie D...Thanks for the compliment...you just used the words I was looking for. (sticky) LOL I just thought it would be helpful to us all. Prevent a lot of irreplaceable dolls from being ruined.

Hey, I think I just took the idea a little further than Chrstnwmn7,but I believe she deserves the credit! She really had the idea first. I don't know how to make my idea a reality, but I DO know I would LOVE to have somewhere to check clothing that fades before I bought, sure would save a lot of sad faces around here it seems and be MOST helpful to all on the board.
